The first time I ever wrote code was in high school back in 2007. I decided to give the programming course a try as I had always been interested in computers. On the side I usually helped many people with all their computer issues but thought it would be great to give the software side a try. Since then I worked in customer service for about 6 years before heading back to school at BCIT. I am currently in the CST program which is a 2 year diploma that covers many topics in software development. Below is a list of topics that I have learnt both at school and at work:
Programming is not my only hobby. I enjoy watching and playing sports; particularly hockey, soccer, tennis and football.
Cars are another hobby of mine. I enjoy driving and working on the vehicles that I own. My sports car if you will is a Mitsubishi Evo V. Boasting 280hp and 278 ft-lbs of torque, it definitely puts a smile on anyone's face. To read more about the Evo, head over to the dedicated Evo page.
Growing up, playing racing games such as Need for Speed and Gran Turismo developed my joy for cars. I have owned every single game released for those two series and have put in countless hours into racing.
A final fact is that I actually was on my way to become a pilot at first before getting into programming. I have around 70 hours flying time and hope to be able to fly in the future again. One of my goals is to work in the aviation industry by using my software development skills.
